Assaia, the global leader in computer-vision-based aircraft turnaround management, is today announcing the promotion of Jan Willem Kappes to Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). This strategic leadership change signals Assaia’s continued focus on commercial growth and deepening relationships with airport and airline customers.

Kappes brings a wealth of experience to the role, having held executive positions across the aviation industry, with a particular focus on aviation-IT. Before joining Assaia, he contributed to the success of leading organizations such as Hahn Air Lines and Inform Software. He joined Assaia as Senior Vice President of Global Sales in March 2020, where his leadership has been instrumental in the company’s global expansion and the strengthening of its customer base.

With an MSc in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University, Kappes brings both academic and industry experience in the aviation sector. He will lead Assaia’s commercial strategy, with a focus on expanding market presence and supporting continued product and customer development.
